Stuff That Keeps You Stay Young

Yoga is one of the most effective ways to make you look and feel younger and can add years to your life with better health, strength and flexibility.

Yoga is suitable for all ages and all health conditions and almost everyone will see benefits from practicing yoga on a regular basis.

Yoga is one of the most effective methods of reducing stress, along with meditation.  Anything that reduces the effects of stress on your mind and body will make you look and feel younger.

There are several different types of yoga – you can choose the one which best suits your needs – from the simplest exercises helping you to relax, to the advanced exercises that will help you to a toned body and actually wind back the years.

Yoga helps to improve your blood circulation which will make your skin condition both healthier and better looking.

Increased flexibility will help to reduce muscular and joint pain and a reduction in pain can help with a reduction of frown lines that are common with people who suffer from constant pain.

The various different types of antioxidants all have varying degrees of health benefits for the specific areas that they help.

Some antioxidants will help reduce the percentage of fat in our body by speeding up the metabolism and helping to burn fat while others will help to protect us against cancer and various other diseases.

Obviously having a combination of foods containing the different antioxidants will be the best way to improve health and assist in remaining younger.

Grape seed however contains antioxidants proven to deliver superior anti-aging results and for this reason the cosmetic industry has been adding grape seed extracts to many of its products.  The prime active ingredient in grape seed is OPC or oligomeric procyanidin.

Grape seed extract helps to strengthen blood vessels and in doing so stops them from becoming weakened and damaged. This helps with the circulation of the blood and the removal of toxins from the body.

Vitamins A, C and E are the most popular antioxidants featured in skin care products.

The objective is to improve skin condition and reduce the aging effect of skin damage.

Free radicals are by-products of our cell metabolism which cause many harmful effects in the body, including damage to the skin. Free radicals degrade the collagen and elastin that support the skin and so keep it soft and flexible.

Antioxidants combat free radicals, and so help defend the skin from free radical attack.

Antioxidants protect the skin and are not harmful to the skin at all.  Even better – antioxidants have also been shown to REVERSE damage that has already happened to the skin.

The publicity surrounding the findings that antioxidants have an anti-aging effect has seen them added to most skin care product formulations now on the market. This development is in response to strong consumer demand for anti-aging solutions of all kinds.

Applying antioxidants on sun-damaged skin, in particular, has been shown to improve skin condition when they are used directly on the damaged area.  They are absorbed through the skin and focused directly on the trouble spot.

Anti-wrinkle Creams

Wouldn’t it be great if you could just smooth on some wrinkle cream like on those TV ads and all your wrinkles then just vanished?

Well you won’t be surprised to hear that alas it isn’t quite that simple in real life.  Even those products that do work can only improve your wrinkles up to a point.

Anti-wrinkle creams will not yield the dramatic improvements achievable with Botox treatment.  Even so, the regular application of good quality wrinkle creams does help to keep the skin in better condition and so help you to remain looking younger for longer.

Collagen is the supporting tissue that keeps the skin smooth and firm, thus preserving a youthful appearance.   As we get older the body produces less collagen which results in the tell-tale effects of aging on the skin.

The better anti-wrinkle creams include ingredients which help trigger the production of collagen by the body. The increased collagen support for the skin improves tone and condition thus slowing or even reversing the aging process.

Wrinkle-creams are not as powerful as medical procedures but they do offer the advantages of relatively modest cost plus convenience of procurement and use.

Many folks are reluctant to rely on any form of medical procedure.  But they can still achieve noticeable improvements in skin condition through use of the anti-wrinkle products suited to their skin type.

Many glowing testimonials are used to help sell just about every anti-wrinkle cream on the market.  BUT – many surveys have shown there to be no correlation between the benefits that these anti-wrinkle products deliver and the prices that you have to pay for them.  In other words, price is no guarantee of quality. Just because you pay a high price does not mean the product is superior.

Experiment with small samples of products which you think might suit.  Then review the results with an open mind to see whether they are worth the cost and effort.  Most anti-wrinkle products will deliver some improvement.  But everybody is different and no two will get identical results. And your results are the only ones that matter!
