Three Ingredients that Should Not Be in your Skin Care Products

If you do not know about ingredients that are in skincare products, then you should do your research. There are many harmful ingredients that are any many of skin care products on the market today.

Most companies put in very little money when creating a product so they can make a huge profit. The cosmetic market today is a multi-million dollar industry. The fact is, most of the popular brands that are on the market are hazardous to your health.

Trust me–  it is not something that is shared either. If the truth about some of the chemicals and synthetic substances were on the labels of most skincare products out there, nobody would purchase them.

Therefore, most people are not aware of what they are applying to their face and body. Here are some facts about some ingredients found in most of the popular brands.

DIOXANE:  This is a synthetic derivative of coconut and is widely used in skincare products. Skin care products usually contain high concentrations of 1,4-dioxane and is easily absorbed through the skin.According to the State of California, 1,4-dioxane causes cancer and also suspected of being a kidney toxicant, neurotoxicant and respiratory toxicant. It is also a leading groundwater containment.

ALCOHOLS:  Alcohols are available in many forms and can dry the skin out tremendously. Alcohol actually strips away the skin’s natural acid mantle making you more vulnerable to bacteria, molds and viruses. Also known to be a cause of your skin to promote brown spots on the skin and can cause premature aging.

PARABENS:  Cosmetic and skin care companies mainly use these to extend the shelf life of their products. There are many studies that suggest that parabens interrupt the endocrine system, as well as causing allergic reactions and may cause cancer.

Among other ingredients, these are just three that should not be in your skincare products. My advice is that you should use a brand that contains all natural ingredients. They are safer and milder for the skin.
