Probiotics are a great addition to one’s diet.  These probiotics can offer many benefits and help an individual to reach a new healthier level in their live.  Probiotics have become so exceedingly popular over the last three decades that it is hard to miss all the new products that are being developed which offer these boosts of benefits. Where in the past, probiotics were either found in fermented foods or as supplements, they are now found in almost anything you can imagine.

Probiotics no longer are only in yogurt, but now are being added to drinks whether they be dairy drinks, or specific drinks created specifically to include probiotics. Probiotic drinks are all the rage now, in which they are being promoted as a great way to supplement your diet.

Celebrities are encouraging and endorsing the use of probiotics and probiotic drinks are becoming the popular way to consume or supplement your diet.

Let’s first talk about what probiotics are, and how come they are so important in regulating and maintaining a healthy digestive system.

Probiotics are classified as the good bacteria.  These good bacteria are present in fermented foods, supplements, and other foods that have specifically added these probiotics to them for added benefit.  To understand why probiotics need to be supplemented in one’s diet requires that we dig a little deeper and determine the reason the human body requires these good bacterial supplements.

Inside the gastrointestinal tract lives billions of bacteria.  Bacteria can be good and bad.  Bad bacteria are commonly known as pathogenic bacteria.

The most common bacterial strains are Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.  One of the most recommended and most common yeast strain is Saccharomyces Boulardii.

However, there are also some probiotic drinks that can be made at home, by adding foods that are naturally rich in probiotics. By adding these foods, and juicing them you can create a probiotic rich drink that will provide the benefits that you are searching to find.

It contains billions of live good bacteria that work hard to replenish the good bacteria in the gut.  The drink Yakult, states that it works hard to balance the gastrointestinal system.This probiotic drink also works hard to replenish the good bacteria in the gut.  It is a beneficial product to help regulate and keep regulated the gastrointestinal tract. The bacterial strain that Yakult probiotic drink incorporates into it’s drink is called Lactobacillus Casei.  This specific live bacterial strain is known to have positive effects on the GI system. Therefore, it can be concluded that Yakult is a probiotic drink that can offer benefits in regulating the digestive system.
