Vitamin E Moisturizing Cream

What you need

  • 10 drops of a lavender essence oil
  • 10 drops of a vitamin E oil
  • 4 ounces of sweet almond oil
  • 2 ounces of water
  • 1 ounce of beeswax

What to do:

You need to melt both the wax and the oil together in a double boiler. Once melted, remove from heat and add in the water, stirring thoroughly. Next, add in the essential oil and the vitamin E.  You need to stir constantly until the mixture cools. This cream will be emollient and extremely moisturizing. It has been said that it will work wonders on dry, rough and even chapped skin. It will help to promote beautiful, healthy complexions. Be sure to put the cream into jars while still warm, shortly after you put in the essential oil.

Antiseptic Ointment

What you need:

  • 1 ounce of Jojoba Oil
  • 2 ounces of Beeswax
  • 3 ounces of Sweet Almond Oil
  • 20 drops of Myrrh Essential Oil
  • 20 drops of Tea Tree Oil

What to do:

Keep in mind that you should always use 2 parts of oil per one part of beeswax.  Heat the Jojoba oil and the Sweet Almond oil together in a medium sauce pan then add the beeswax.  You can adjust the consistency by adding more or reducing the amount of beeswax that you add in.  Once your base has cooled, you can see what your consistency is.  If you find that it is too thick for your liking you can add more Sweet Almond oil then reheat.  If it is too thin for you then you can add more beeswax.

When your base is cooling is even you want to add in your essential oils as this will improve on the effect of the healing capabilities of the ointment.  You can then put into containers or jars for storage and use.

Chilling the mixture prior to applying it to the under eye area is a key secret to this natural recipe so be sure not to miss very important this step.

Under Eye Treatment

What you need:

  • ¼ cup of finely grated raw potato (You can also use left over mashed potatoes)
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of dairy product (milk, yogurt, sour cream or cream)

What to do:

Lightly sprinkle the potatoes with the salt and mix in the dairy product.  Mix until it becomes a smooth and creamy texture.  Put in the refrigerator for one hour to chill.  When you want to use, simply apply evenly on your face, especially under the eye.  Leave on for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.  Rinse with warm water.

Potatoes actually contain an enzyme that will help to rid a person of the dark circles under the eye area.  You can freeze the left over potato mixture to use on the under eye area at a later time to reduce eye puffiness as well as the dark circles.  Simply wrap in a cotton cloth and apply to the under eye area when needed.
