Best Way to Remove Acne Scars At Home

I strongly believe that the best way to remove acne scars is through natural methods, and at the comfort of your own home. The expected effect of having acne scars is that it could damage a person’s self-image and self-esteem in the long run. Bullying a person due to his or her pimples is not impossible. In fact, it is a common occurrence among kids in middle school or high school. Pimples or acne break outs are stressful, but for them to be leaving dark marks on your skin is worse. You don’t have to sit there and just try to accept this, when there are a couple of ways that you can remove them. I really encourage each one of you to consider trying out the natural method of doing so. It will cost you less compared to going for a dermatologist, plus you can just do it at the comfort of your own house. Oh, not to mention, going for the natural way is great for your skin because of the vitamins and minerals you will be using.

However, the thing to note about all acne scar treatments is that they will take a long time – okay, maybe not a long time – but they will require patience. The scars will not be gone overnight or in three days. Don’t expect instant results. You should expect results after a month maybe. You will need to do them consistently, and religiously.

Without further ado, here are the methods you should try out.

 The Wonder of Turmeric

Turmeric is a very popular ingredient in southwest India. It has long been used as a color agent for certain dishes, but did you know that turmeric also has several other uses? Among this is its ability to be used as a traditional medicine in India called “Siddha”. This has been used as a remedy for stomach and liver ailments, and it has been found it to be able to heal sores – all thanks to its antibacterial property. This antibacterial property is all thanks to the active compound called “CURCUMIN” that can be an anti-inflammatory agent, antioxidant, anti-tumor, antibacterial, and lastly anti-viral.

Turmeric has been used to have glowing skin, heal acne, rosacea, eczema, and even make dark circles go away. It has been mixed with different ingredients. Turmeric can be mixed with lemon juice. You will be needing a small bowl where you can mix half a tablespoon of turmeric, 4 – 5 drops of lemon juice, and a tablespoon of yogurt. Gently mix these ingredients until they turn into a paste-like consistency, then apply it on the affected areas. You will then remove it after 10 minutes. The best thing about this is that you can feel that there’s a different after two weeks or so. The scars will still be there but they aren’t as dark or noticeable as they were before. You will need to keep applying the mixture until they are completely gone. Turmeric and Honey are great together! Honey is not only sweet and tasty, but it is also used as a popular antibiotic. It helps keep your skin moist, and because of its viscosity it is able to create a thin barrier to prevent further infection. Perfect, right? Who would’ve thought that the ingredients you need are just all in your kitchen? When you mix honey with turmeric, you have now created quite a powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory paste that can treat you active acne, and its scars. That’s two birds in one stone!

You will need a small bowl to mix the two ingredients together. Grab four tablespoons of honey and two tablespoons of organic turmeric powder. Mix and mix until it forms into a thick paste. Time to apply it on your face. While applying make sure that it doesn’t get into your eyes. Be careful when spreading it over your dark circles. Relax and let it settle for 20 minutes, and then you can simply rinse with lukewarm water.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since turmeric is widely used as a food coloring, it could leave some kind of yellow stain on your skin. Don’t panic! If you have a cotton ball and a tonic at home, you can use that to get the color out.

You can do this once a day, but twice if your acne is super bad. Honey can also be mixed- not only with turmeric – but also with CINNAMON! That sounds like a sweet combination! Aside from being delicious when mixed with pastries, cinnamon is very beneficial as an anti-inflammatory and anti-clotting agent to the skin. You can use the essential oil extracted from the cinnamon bark. As we have learned above, honey is great as an antibacterial and a moisturizer. And just like the ones above, it requires no much effort at all. You will simply need to find a small bowl where you can mix them together. You will then see that you are starting to get clearer skin and damaged parts of your skin has been repaired.

 A Natural Toner

Did you know that it is possible to create a toner with the use of Apple Cider Vinegar? Yes, it is. The popularity of Apple Cider Vinegar has been growing in these past few months because of its great healing and medical properties. You will get benefits such as the removal of skin impurities, and an even skin tone. It can also refresh your tired looking skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar can also control the pH balance of your skin, so your acne break outs are controlled.

You will need to buy Apple Cider Vinegar if you don’t have it at home, and then clean water. It doesn’t matter if it’s filtered or distilled, just as long as it’s clean. You will need a bottle and fill it with 3/4 water. You will then add 1/4 of the Apple Cider Vinegar into this bottle. Since it is vinegar, you do not apply it directly to your skin without diluting it first. Gradually decrease the vinegar strength as you get used to it.

Shake well! Then grab a cotton pad or ball and apply it all over your face. It will sting a bit, but endure it. It won’t hurt as much, but if you can’t take it, stop immediately.
