Toothpaste: Toothpaste is one of the easiest and the effective acne home remedies. Apply the toothpaste on the affected area before going to sleep. This will help out in drying and curing of acne. If applying during daytime, make sure to keep the toothpaste on the affected area for at least half an hour. The only thing one should take care of is to use the white toothpaste.

Baking Soda: The sodium bicarbonate or baking soda is another wonderful solution for acne problem as it has antiseptic properties and fight off fungus and bacteria along with the ability dry up excess oil. It can be used as a scrub or face pack. For using as a scrub, mix one part of baking soda with one part of water and make a paste. Apply the paste and leave it on for 15-20 minutes or until the mask dries off. Wash the face and pat dry.  Similarly a scrub can be made using half a cup of baking soda and 1/8thcup of water.

Lemon juice: Lemons are quite rich in vitamin C. That is the reason doctors recommend regular use of lemons for healthy skin. This use of lemon can be both internal and external. The lemon juice can be directly applied on the affected area for best results with the help of a cotton bud. If the stinging sensation is too much, some yoghurt can be added to combat that.

Steam: Steam can help in curing pimples. It helps in opening of the pores and removing of the impurities deep within the skin. Steaming can be used as a standalone cure or before the application of scrub and face mask. The steam will make the mask being used more effective as the path will be cleared off.

Oatmeal: There is a reason why Scottish swear by the benefits of oatmeal. It has already been proved that oatmeal is perfect for digestion, but it is also a perfect acne home remedy as it is a perfect agent for exfoliation of the skin and opening of the pores.
